Work Injuries

At the Oregon Wellness Center we see and treat many different consditons related to on the job injuries. If you feels work injury was directly related to your duties at work the first thing you should do is report it to your supervisor and find out the name of the Workers Compensation insurance company. After doing so you should call the Oregon Wellness Center and schedule an appointment right away! It is important to not only receive immediate and appropriate treatment for any injury sustained, but also to document the extent of the injuries.

Failure to obtain a timely evaluation or appropriate treatment for injuries sustained while on the job may negate your ability to receive coverage by the insurance company. It could also negate compensation for work loss.

If injured while on the job your Chiropractor can be the "Attending Physician". Oregon Workers Compensation allows an injured worker to receive care from a Doctor of Chiropractic for up to 60 days (from the start of the initial visit) or for up to 18 visits, whichever comes first. After the 60 days or 18 visits you must recieve a referral from a medical doctor for future care.

When you come in we will determine:

  • the extent of the injury
  • if special tests are required (x-ray, MRI, CT Scan, etc.)
  • if a referral to another medical specialist is necessary
  • if a referral for an attorney is necessary
  • if you need to take "injury time off" form work (and provide you with a note to present to your employer)
  • the appropriate treatment plan and schedule that best suits your injury

Dont' delay, call today!
