Chiropractic Adustment

What is a chiropractic adjustment?

An adjustment or manipulation of a joint is the use of a specific force in a precise direction that helps normalize spinal function. The adjustment is applied to a joint that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving properly by use of the chiropractors hands (where a popping sound is sometimes heard or felt) or with the use of an instrument or tool. Adjustments help return the joints to a normal position or motion, restoring natural healing.

What does an adjustment do?

Adjustments or manipulaton helps to normalize spinal function, reduce joint irritation and pressure, and helps to prevent bone and soft tissue degeneration. When irritation is removed, joint pressure is reduced and normal motion is restored, the body can begin the natural healing process.
